WORK WITH ME

Bringing Humanessence into practice

Humanessence is both a living inquiry and a practical lens for understanding ourselves, relating to one another, and shaping the systems in which we live and work.

I partner with organizations, leaders, and communities willing to ask deeper questions about people, relationships, power, belonging, and change—and to consider what those questions might reveal about how they operate.

There are three ways we can bring this inquiry into practice together.

A group of people seated in a circle listening as one participant speaks.

The Human Kaleidoscope is an immersive experience in human and relational development.

Through guided reflection, experiential exercises, and shared inquiry, participants explore how identity, emotion, belief, experience, relationship, and context shape what they perceive and how they participate.

The experience moves through four interconnected movements of inquiry:

Observe Yourself → Observe Others → Practice Relationship → Cultivate Belonging

The Human Kaleidoscope is currently being developed through pilot experiences with organizations, teams, and communities interested in creating more reflective, relational, and human-centered environments.

Invite Me to Speak

I speak about the questions at the heart of Humanessence: what does it mean to remain human within systems that often prioritize productivity, certainty, and efficiency over relationship, reflection, and care?

My talks draw from more than 25 years of work across organizations and cultures—and from the lived experiences of motherhood, burnout, chronic illness, healing, and the ongoing work of understanding my own humanity. Speaking topics may include:

⦁ The workplace as a human development environment

⦁ What children can teach us about being human

⦁ Human dignity, power, and the systems we create

⦁ Belonging as a practice of acknowledged interdependence

⦁ Curiosity as the beginning of human connection

⦁ Building a future in which technology helps us become more human, not less

I adapt talks and facilitated conversations for conferences, leadership gatherings, organizational retreats, community events, and learning spaces.

Partner With Me

I work with mission-driven organizations navigating growth, change, or complexity - and with those examining how their internal systems shape people’s experience of work.

My consulting practice brings together organizational effectiveness, strategic planning, program and operations management, people-centered change, and more than 25 years of experience working across sectors and cultures.

Depending on the organization's needs, our work may include:

⦁ Organizational and operational assessment

⦁ Strategic planning and implementation

⦁ Program design and management

⦁ Roles, responsibilities, and decision-making structures

⦁ Policies, processes, and systems that enable people to do their work

⦁ Leadership and team development

⦁ Change management and organizational learning

⦁ Facilitated inquiry into culture, power, relationships, and belonging

I do not approach organizations with a predetermined answer. I begin by listening, observing, and understanding the system as it is currently experienced. Together, we identify what is working, what is creating friction, and what the organization may be ready to see or do differently.

How I Work

My approach is curious, collaborative, and grounded in context.

I believe the people closest to a system hold essential knowledge about how it functions and how it is experienced. My role is to listen closely, help make patterns visible, create conditions for honest inquiry, and translate what emerges into thoughtful action.

Whether we are working through a workshop, a facilitated conversation, or a longer organizational engagement, the invitation is the same:

To observe more consciously.

To relate more intentionally.

And to create systems that recognize the humanity of the people within them.

If this work resonates with something you, your organization, or your community is exploring, I would be glad to hear from you.

You do not need to arrive with a fully formed request. We can begin with the question that brought you here.
